boarderboy
indeed :freak3: That second wave of the video is almost impossible to believe. (Slater?) must've been worked 4-5 seconds in that collapsing foam vortex, and still he came out smiling!! Hard to imagine how they're going to take tube riding much farther. Also, guys are now paddling into 40-50 ft+ deep-water reef monsters that would have been considered strictly tow-in a very few years ago. The outer edge of athleticism and guts!! Cheers BB

Only use for goats is kudzu control!! Maybe they're mountain goats? Yeah, that's it. They must be mountain goats! Don't know if mountain goats surf, but they've got the balance thing down pat! boarderboy
such a Fun Wave at this size... some great clips here :) thanks to Paul Strauch] also known as "The Paul Strauch Stretch." Surf histories quote him as saying he developed this move out of necessity. His board, with a wide tail block, was unstable in big surf at high speeds. He found that out on the nose, rail and skeg engaged, he could maintain a tight line with no wobble. Makaha or Sunset? BB
