    NASTAR 2016-2017

I was told there are people racing at the Wachusett NASTAR course on Mondays. Is anyone still doing that?
  2. Any of you geezers going to be up there tomorrow? I'm thinking of making an appearance. You'll find me directing traffic in the bunyan room at 8 am sharp. I might bring my camera gear, but only if you dress pretty. This one is of Mitch

  4. Hey, I have a 2004 Subaru Outback and to maximize how many people I can bring to the mountain on a given trip (goal is 4-5) I'm getting a roof box. First question: How do they affect gas milage? I usually get 25mpg on the highway. 2nd Q: How large do you think it will have to be to fit 2 alpine boards and 2 pairs of skis? I'm not getting a ski rack since the salt from the road can corrode the bindings and board. 3rd Q: Which box should I go for? (get your mind outta the gutter;) )
  5. Looks like you'll have to count me out. I snapped the rear derailleur hanger and was waiting for UPS tracking number to tell me when it'll come in. It says that it'll be here for friday. I would get it at a shop but the only one that had it was going to charge $40. I bought 2 of them including shipping for 41. I snapped it while cranking up hill on the street without hitting anything so I'm a little annoyed. I'm not going to be able to go at all next week because of work but I'll be good for sunday the 22nd. BTW, started my preseason workout with P90x. Highly recommend it. I just downloaded it instead of buying it on ebay for $100 or from the infomercial for $240
  6. I may take you up on that. Going for a 4 hour ride tomorrow to get my wind back. I have a Garmin forrunner 305 gps with a heart rate monitor that is sweet. I just downloaded the data and it explained why I was dying on my ride on thurday. Taking 2 weeks off from doing anything made my heart rate go up to 196. If tomorrow is a little more successful I'll def tag along on wednesday.
  7. Glad you like the picture stevo Just got my Santa Cruz back from the shop and took it out last night. Went riding with a group of people that build the trails at Harold Parker. Already managed to go over the bars but landed on my feet. Anyone up for a ride somewhere this coming week?
  8. When I grow up I wanna be like Kenny Powers. A true role model...unlike these characters:
  9. Stevo, not a drug but a drink. Taking it wednesday now. Should be good to go. Yeah the mtnbike bug def got me and made me pretty poor. Although before I got the Santa Cruz frame I had upgraded almost every part on the cannondale for less than half price. I already had a trip to Mt. Snow a few months back. Took one trip down on our own bikes and decided to rent theirs. They had Jamis Bam 1s that were sweet. Gonna be in CT this weekend for a slalom race but count me in for next weekend. What about highland park? As far as me doing stupid **** on my bike...its way worse than some **** I've done on a snowboard. I got myself all the gear for downhilling. a full face helmet, a 661 pressure suit and even some padded shorts to protect the assets. Enzo, unfortunately the only anti-depressants I can prescribe come in brownie form.
  10. Deciding that now is the time to make my comeback. Been working my ass off this summer to pay off my Bruins season tickets, get a new(ish) Subaru and upgrading my bike. Haven't even got to skate much at all. The only thing I've had time for is to ride JD's Dale...yeah thats what he calls it. Its in the shop now getting torn apart because I managed to snag a Santa Cruz Blur LT2 frame. Its paired with a sweet Fox RP23 and I got a Magura Thor 140 earlier in the summer. I'm sharing the wealth and passing the frame on for super cheap to another friend of mine. Like you, JD, I'm in rehab as well. I went over the bars earlier in the summer and tore some ligs in my shoulder. Managing aright and getting most of the strength back so I'm down for some rides. You guys should make it down to Harold Parker State Forest. They have some killer terrain. One last thing...drug test on Monday for another job. Wish me luck
  11. wow my stomach hurts from the laughing. I'm in the library and people are giving me weird looks. So loon or SR this weekend? PS: Brownies are in the oven.
  12. F'ing ridiculous snow!!!!!!!!!! I just checked my pants and it looks like I creamed them a few times today...maybe it was from the night before. What happens in Stratton stays in Stratton. Except herpes. Those definitely come back. Bruce's VSR alone made the day amazing! That thing can make anyone look decent...even me I think. Too bad I only got to ride it for 2 hours. What a tease till I get one for next season. It was nice finally putting faces to names. I'd put my vids up tonight but something about a cold beer or 5 seems a little more enticing. Great job organizing to everyone that put probably dozens of hours into planning. And the weather could not have been any better. Its nice to finally ride on real snow again. Till next time!
  13. sweet. Whats your numba?
  14. I have finally made the commitment of time to return to the forum. It has taken me 2 weeks of reading to catch up on the 20 pages of posts that I've missed. Lately, there has been a huge lack of T32 presence at the bunyan. At most we're getting 3 people and 2 weekends ago was a no show. I only went on sunday this weekend and I was told it was really good compared to saturday. I even almost got air out of the pipe. I'll get it at stratton. Me and my canadian skier friend stayed at the bunyan for the canadia vs USA game. He almost went streaking afterwards. All was good, but I did lose my phone. what days are you guys gonna be at stratton?
  15. yeah, I've gotten better, but not by much. Maybe its because I have had less than ten days of cones this summer due to weather sucking, work, and being lazy. Better step it up for next year. Most of my best runs were ones that didn't count too. At least I have room for improvement....lots of room I'm loving my fullbag/rads set up. I'll try the rads on the Axe sometimes next week to see how that feels.
