  1. What condition is it in and what type of bindings? It is probably too small for me but I would be interested in possibly buying it to make a few runs on it then just give it too a friend getting into the sport. Any pictures??? -Sam
  2. I use my EVS Ballistic Jacket. I wear a long sleeve base-layer under it an a jacket that had HUGE pit zips. If I don't use the pit zips, it would get too hot on a sunny 30 deg day. Or just unzip my jacket of the lift up?
  3. Ha! Discounts?!? Try special "holiday" pricing in effect! Hidden Valley has the lowest rates but not as much terrain. & Springs is the place to go. Just be ready to pay big mountain price. $73 for a day pass at Springs or $114 for a weekend pass from Dec 24-Jan 2(holiday rates). Hidden Valley is $53/day for holiday rates. No weekend pass. Limited hours. Well worth the extra $$$ for Springs!
  4. lol. good point on lookin' weird. I have some armor already for Enduro riding that I think I'm going to use. :eplus2:
  5. hope this helps. ]http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/6/10/32827/ITEM/ONeal-Racing-Hellraiser-Body-Armor.aspx?SiteID=CSE_Gbase_32827&WT.mc_ID=80003&zmam=88421133&zmas=1&zmac=45&zmap=32827[/url]
  6. In hindsight, My knee is very close behind my front mostly heal side turn. Not as much toe side. In the end, play around and see what works for you. I like anchovies on my pizza, you may not. Get it?
  7. lol. Great responses. I would love to see dude drink the boot tea. My 2cents- I like to have a bit more angle on my rear binding. I think it really helps me drive my heal side turns. Also, look at Jacks avitar. Great looking form. I always tell people to pretend your holding a big firehose and point that hose in the direction you want to turn. They key is to keep your shoulders square and arms in front with knees bent. I like my stance so that my back legs knee can fit right behind my front knee(making contact). That has worked for me for years. KNEES BENT,SHOULDERS SQUARE AND HOLD YOUR HOSE!!!!;)
  8. So after just posting a new thread before "searching" for this one, my 2cents. O'Neil makes a bad azz flak jacket called the HellRaiser. It has that newer SAS-Tec mold-able armor. The stuff is sick! Its really soft and flexible until impact time- it hardens up instantly!!! We put it to the test on a young co-worker with a baseball bat(we had the bat). IT WORKED GREAT!!!! I bought one a week later(for enduro riding) and love it!
  9. Wow this thread blew up. I use a knock off system that uses a Nalgene bladder. I have NEVER used any cleaner in it. The freezer trick is good if you have the space. If you don't just get an old wire hanger with a plastic bag on it(hanger is pulloed out to be long) and insert it into the bladder and hang dry. They sell something like this but I'm too cheap to buy it. If you use anything else than water, expect the funk. Camel Back sells a "safe" electrolyte drink for bladders. Key is, NO SUGAR!!!
  10. So, after my last run last year ending with a A.C joint separation and and my last run of my first day this year ending with a broken rib(toe side turn, lost edge and landed on fist), does anyone wear upper body armor? I'm beginning to think it may be a great idea. We travel at higher speeds and when we fall, it's always harder. I see that snowboard/ski upper body armor(flak jacket) is made for our sport. I am wondering if I'm better off with my motorcross O'Neil HellRaiser flak jacket under my jacket. Do I need to just man up? With no health insurance, I'm thinking that armor may be the way to go. I just don't want to be seen in it in the lodge!
  11. 7 Springs was rippin' yesterday. I rode from 11:30am-10:00Pm. Not to many people out. They opened up North Face today.
  12. I just had a acromio-clavicular joint separation. I had just finished a run and as I was on the flats coming into the lift area, some little kids came from behind me to cut right in front of me. I tried to twist my hips hard to avoid the kids and as I did, the nose got buried under about 20 inches of powder cause me to fall on my shoulder. I thought nothing of it at the time, no pain, and made a few more runs, drove 1.5 hours home, ate dinner, sat down and then WOW! Blinding white pain when I raised it to take off my shirt! That was on the 11th. I still cant raise my arm above my shoulder without that blinding pain. I feel your pain man, I feel your pain.
  13. Did you ever sell that Liquid Arc? This was the first carve board I ever had and would just like to have one again. -Sam
  14. Im interested in the other set of liners.
  15. Are the boots and bindings sold? Im interested in them both or just the boots if you have the original heals.
