  1. You won't find much hard boot stuff here. Better to look to Europe or US (though with currency in favour of Stirling against the Euro more than the USD, I'd go for the former). Thermoflex liners are they key. They made so much difference to my ride comfort it's not funny. And if you have orthotic foot beds, get them put in at the same time.
  2. I think I'm flying out at around 5pm on the 14th. I'm staying at the bomber house and will have a car so can probably work something out.
  3. I'm in! Plane tix booked (on a great deal direct from London to Denver for £725 return) plus car and accom all done. Considering I will have 37 days of annual leave plus public holidays to use in 2015, it would be unacceptable not allocate a portion to SES.
  4. Now you've got me thinking I'm not crazy after all and it's not my shoes shrinking! Here I was thinking it was just my collapsing arches and the residual of a couple of infections that damaged the lymphatic drainage of my foot. But it's really a happy 40th present from my disintegrating body. And Bryan, I can't afford to get any shorter!!!
  5. Don't sound so disappointed! And it will mean that for only the second time, I won't be coming from the furthest point on the compass. Dammit, I quite liked that record.
  6. Vanessa knows quite a lot about this as a physiotherapist, but it's all mumbo jumbo to me. Apparently it depends entirely on individual symptoms (clicking, locking, pain, etc) so she's reluctant to suggest anything either way.
  7. That looks fantastic. I think you may just have a great season for the knee recovery!
  8. Hi Phil, I've just moved back to London. Happy to have a chat at some stage and might even have some second hand gear I could sell. Drop me a message and see what we can arrange. Dan
  9. Tabatha, the Moritz is the best value for money accom in Aspen. I've stayed there 5 times (the other time was in the Bomber house, which was a blast) and it's never failed. Walking distance to just about everything you want, including the mountain shuttles. As for car pooling, I've found that if you can get a second person, it's actually close enough in cost to getting the CME shuttle that the convenience factor tips the balance. And there's free parking outside St Moritz too. Unfortunately though I won't be availing myself of any of the above this year. But hopefully 2015!
  10. No excuse. I towed a 6 month old over half way around the world (Vietnam to Aspen via Dubai) to SES this year.
  11. Sounds to me a perfect new status for Jack to replace Lord of the Ruts.
  12. Anyone bringing kids to SES? I've got a 3yo and a 6 mth old in tow this year.
  13. Nope, THIS is quote of the day!
  14. FloBoot, you really should. I'm a carnivore through and through, but I'll confess, Michelle does love food and CAN cook! Oh yeah, and did I mention that she's just generally awesome?
