  1. Hi, I just bought this board in a 162 and would just like to recoup what I paid for that-$210. I bought it new and haven't used it too much as I previously had a 162 that I preferred. Outside of the professionally repaired core shot, it is in great shape. Has just had its first ever base grind and edges are sharp. Waist is 20.3 cm.

    EC in Utah

Hi! I was wondering if there is anyone in Utah that is into EC. I ride with a couple of other freecarvers in Park City, but am interested in becoming a better EC rider. Does anyone in the SLC area have a Swoard they would be willing to let me take a few runs on? I'm 170 pounds with a mondo 27 boot. Thanks! Ash
  3. Thanks again everyone for the wealth of info and different perspectives. I went for the coiler stubby and am excited to get into gear from this decade! Nils-thanks for all the info. I am still intrigued by the Swoard and will hopefully get the chance to ride one soon. I love the EC style and the Swoard philosophy. Happy riding all!!
  4. Ursle, thanks for the heads up on this-board is on the way!!
  5. Thanks for all the info! BlueB, out of curiosity what is that favorite board?
  6. Kinpa-I've got one just like that in a 156. It rides WAY differently than my 162 that was a year earlier (I liked that board so much I rode it into oblivion!). The 156 isn't just shorter, it's flex and sidecut properties are totally different. Glad you like yours!!
  7. Hi Robert, I sent you a PM the other day, but maybe my settings are off. I'd love a few pics. What is the waist width? Thanks, Ash ashychef@yahoo.com
  8. Hi! I am interested in your board. I sent a PM, but not sure if it went through. My email is ashychef@yahoo.com. Thanks! Ash
  9. Thanks for the tips guys! I will follow up on them. P.S. King crimson-love the dancing bear! Ash
  10. Hi! I am intrigued by the Swoard EC but don't know if it is definitely the board for me:confused:. I have been riding hard shells and alpine boards for 20 years. My favorite board ever was a 1996-97 Hot shine 162. I currently ride a 1995 +/- Rossi Alpine 159 which I love, but is obviously a bit long in the tooth and it is time to upgrade. I weigh 170#, am 5,9' and have 27 mondo raichle 124's. Anyone out there ride a Swoard? I like softer flexes and wider boards in general (my angles are 51 front 48 back), but don't know how there flexes compare to what I consider soft/hard. Any advice would be appreciated very much!!!! I live in Park City, so if there are any hardbooters around here let me know!!! :D Ash :)
  11. If anyone has one of these (blue in color) boards laying around, I am interested. If anyone has ever had and liked one-what are you riding now? Looking at Swoard EC, but hard to fork out 1G without ever taking one for a ride! Thanks!
