I have to go back to work tomorrow. Yesterday carve, today pow, my days off were good. I think the out of towners will probably break out their big carve boards tomorrow. The groomers were getting firmer when I left. Have fun whateva you ride. Ink Oh yeah, these boys were riding well yesterday on the steeps. The LCI wasn't lookin' so good though, fairly poor showing by us. Doh!

He quit racing in '98 after narrowly missing qualifying for the Olympics to ride with his brothers who own TGR. JJ is a bad ass on plates and even badder on the big mountains. I hear he still gets out on his 196 race boards for play in bounds when crowds are low. Ink Sorry, don't know how to do the cool watch it here thing.

Phil, Age has some advantages. You were 22 at that event and the speedsuit was the ticket for youth. I wanted to be warm enough to move so that I wouldn't be so far behind. I just found my VHS of that copied off of OLN. It is pretty funny. Ink

Thanks for the update SuperBee. Reminds me of a race PhilFell and I did at Whiteface, in Lake Placid, NY. Temps read 9 but wind chill took it down between -20 and -40. Willy bags were flying into the timing causing delays also. Women in speedsuits waiting around at the top for over an hour because the race crew kept telling them not to get dressed, we will run in 5minutes. I stayed in my warm clothes deciding not to race in the speedsuit for that one. Ah, the memories. Ink

Post on the ride board forum and try to meet up with Steve Prokopiw. He has a ton of experience, and is an instructor who can help with riding and equipment setup. There are a bunch of other good riders in the area to meet up with. Best of luck, it won't be long till you are hooked. Ink
