  1. hi, need to move heels to new boots...I don't want to break anything so figured i'd ask before applying more force. i'm supposed to just push the cable back through the hole to release the heel, right? not sure how i got it in, b/c the (shielded) cable seems too thick to be pushed through....maybe I just need to push harder?
  2. @barryj just confirming "the old model" you referred to is the black and red (2nd link from my original post)
  3. Hi All, at the end of last season, my old Deeluxe boots (my first and only pair of hardboots) cracked, so I can't ride at all until I get something new. Really don't want to pay $600 Carver's paradise looks to have some good deals. Anyone know if there is any major difference b/w the Deeluxe Track 325 and the Deeluxe Alpine Track 325? They certainly appear to be similar (perhaps identical) - maybe the black and red one is just an earlier version? https://www.carversparadise.com/en_US/products/track-325black-white vs. https://www.carversparadise.com/en_US/products/deeluxe-alpin-track-325-thermo-black-red Any wisdom is appreciated!
  4. Hi All, I'm supposed to fly up, rent a car, and be on the snow next Thursday and Friday (and possibly Sat). Even though I'm getting my tickets at a steep discount, this isn't gonna be a cheap trip. I see that they dont even have 50% of the mountain open and there is still rain (though some cold temps as well) to come. Has anyone ridden Stowe in the past few days (or somewhere near there) and can provide a first hand report? If I go, is it even worth bringing my carving board? I may just bag this trip altogether if it's that bad. So damn tired of this BS on the east coast, ready to move out West!
  5. no @dhamann not an April's fools joke, but sort of funny you thought it was.
  6. Hi All, Thoughts on how these mountains compare? I rode Stowe once (a few years ago) for a few days; never been to Sugarbush. One better than the other for carving? What about typical conditions in early April at these resorts. l'd prefer to go earlier, but may have a free lodging the first full weekend of April.
  7. If it's in good (or better) condition, I'll pay $15. They retail as a pair for 38. I think that's fair. Just tryin' to save a few bucks.
  8. Just need 1 of these: https://www.yyzcanuck.com/shop/parts/binding-parts/f2-center-disk-cover/
  9. Anyone in "the DMV" or even closer parts of WVA? If so, where are you riding?
  10. May be the emptiest resort I've ever seen - I assume this was during a weekday?
  11. this douche nozzle just emailed me too. same email is flagged (scammer) on at least 1 other site.
  12. Looking for a good intermediate board with SCR of 9.5 or less (narrow slopes here in the east). WW 18 -19.5. F2 would be cool, no burtons.
  13. Hi All, I've been riding with a dual boa (K2 Mayasis) setup for a few seasons and I think they are prone to causing pressure points on my feet, which obviously makes things uncomfortable. I also have skinny ankles and a narrow foot, so I suspect I'm probably tightening the a bit too much. Even so, I'm ready to return to lace-ups. Any recs for a boot that's mid flex rating and perhaps geared more toward a narrower (male) foot? And that's nice and warm as well! (though not overtightening my boots will certainly help with that).
  14. Looks like a winner: https://denver.cbslocal.com/2020/12/25/breckenridge-liquor-store-employees-sentenced-alcohol-intoxicated-customer-fatal-crash/
  15. hi tpalka, I ended up buying one as well! I bought the surf adapter (for the front) and the rail (for the back). As many people have said, it's a game changer - allowing for much much tighter turns, but also a lot more wobbly, esp. when pushing off. how long did it take you to install? It took me much longer than I think it should, but perhaps that's b/c I didn't have a specific tool....
  16. No one had any experience with these??
  17. Anyone have or try these out? Ton of very positive reviews and the price is right..... https://waterborneskateboards.com/
  18. You pay shipping. Prefer to send to someone who will actually use (vs. collector). PM me.
  19. Anyone know anything about this board? I know it's got a square tail and I think it's from the 80s or 90s.....
  20. https://www.snowboarder.com/transworld-snowboarding-archive/snowboarding-photos/when-vintage-snowboard-trading-goes-awry/ At least one of the members here is mentoned.
  21. What's the SCR and WW for the 158? also what's the recommended max weight? feel free to DM me. thanks,
  22. this is the nut in teh boot, right? Where am I missing the fracture in the pic?
  23. 153- 155 range ~18/19 waist width looking for something fairly turny, poppy is nice, and ok for 150 lb rider no old burtons or other fossils
  24. @Ohob Yes, that's doable and I was reading about it. Any other thoughts you have on it?
  25. @michael.a sorry, but I'm slightly confused....so I can use Burton disc for F2s - at least the titanflex model?
