  1. yeah, there aren't too many with those details. helvetiquette regular is the only other i've seen that also has the wonky 'p'.
  2. take gloves, socks and maybe a hat. set your expectations low and you'll have a fun time, it's only 400m long - they're building a 1.2km long one elsewhere. the rental gear will probably be average to good, given the outrageously OTT market they're catering for.
  3. i had one of these for a while, used it on the continent a few times - it was phenomenal. if i lived near big slopes i'd have one again in a heartbeat.
  4. i have previously used https://parcelcompare.com/ for this sort of thing.. might still be inexpensive while the brexit faff is incomplete.
  5. i've done this before. i discovered that carpet carving was an inaccurate representation of snowfeel for the rear boot angle though, and would usually end up reducing stack height by one layer once i got to the snow. if you need more stacking bits i have spares to sell for £reasonable. probably the long bolts too. size your fastening bolts accordingly, do not skimp on thread engagement or threadlocking compound. even more importantly, check torque at the start of every session.
  6. in the interests of science, i volunteer you to find out for us. use lots of mr sheen on your base each run and you should be fine.
  7. coming soon, the virus solar-waxing sun-shield. lets through the IR but blocks the UV
  8. firewires for me. baked potato for mush+lazy, spitfire for clean+fit.
  9. yup, used to use reds of varying lengths to adjust the lean angle rather than compressing them.
  10. did anyone else think 'swingbo' .. ?
  11. remember that you can turn the binding plate 90deg to center the boot over the board as well, though this does remove the fore-aft binding position flexibility. if you're fortunate enough to have a stance that matches the inserts though, that's fine.
  12. There is something runnning diagonally under the plate under each set of binding inserts, attached by the 4 bolts that have no obvious purpose in attaching the plate to the mechanicals underneath. Guessing this is some kind of torsion resistance / reinforcement, but in the absence of photos showing what's actually there. Does anyone know, have photos binding torsion bar? guess it depends if the plate is set up for a regular or goofy.
