  5. Well Gunsmoke on Saturdays is a carver's paradise. Or hell depending on how you look at it. Team Horizon (started by a couple of Mammoth Soft boot carvers Knee KOKO and Rayndier (instagram) They are practicing all day every Saturday as a liftie told me, Korean/Japanese carving. Rayn is a Donek Ambassador. I loved it. All super nice and I think I am an Honorary Member after this past Saturday

There was Cholula hot sauce there as well. Next time i will make sure it is warm mayo in a dirty ashtray. Condiments make the meal. Glad you had a great time!

Got to love the direct from Denver to Bishop flight. ill have a couple Alloy Snowboards with me. Saturday at June, one will be in the racks Mid mountain if some one wants to try a DO or and AZX. Hope to see some other trenches while there
  9. Anyone have thoughts on how to educate the public/ raise awareness? Resorts spend tons of money building terrain parks with all kinds of rules and signage along with park staff to support and maintain. Some resorts are dedicated to skiing only. Why not dedicate a no passing run like our friends at Turner (during Montucky event) or perhaps a straightliner only space. I mean these are extreme examples but food for thought. Thanks all for your input. I too nearly got creamed by someone this past Sunday from behind of course
  10. so much truth right here NPC (Non Player Character) "NPC" stands for "Non-Player Character" and is used as a metaphor to describe someone who is perceived as lacking independent thought or blindly following trends.
  11. Certainly people pass at the wrong time. They try to pass without making a sound. And instead of passing close after the apex, they shoot across as we reach the apex of the opposite turn. As we sling shot back to the point they thought we wouldn’t be. Gapers will gape…
  12. I'm thinking we should all just start straight lining. This carving thing is not healthy for longevity in snowboarding for carvers. Between Sean and David getting smoked from behind in Europe and recent near hits here daily in CO, is it really worth it for the turn? Interested in your thoughts. I think painting a big bullseye on our backs is the only thing left to do. Interested in thoughts, educating the public/patrol? I think it's time that the General Public, those without passes watch a safety video before entering the slopes like if you were going to drive a go kart. I'm being a bit sarcastic/comedic here as we have all had close calls but seeing videos of good riders getting clobbered or nearly getting clobbered is getting really old. How do we stop it, spread awareness...? I don't know the answer but I'm about to clock myself on Strava doing 70mph in a beginner zone just for kicks and to raise awareness...

2/25/24 Katie and I, Mario, Sandy, NSFNG, Kahn +1 followed by This Guy I know... Looked amazing but a late Saturday thaw followed by a nighttime freeze made it look way better than it was. Chunky and rutted. Fire bowl had most of us barely hanging on after the first run of the day. We disbanded almost immediately with folks heading up 4 after 1 on Ptarmigan. Katie and i headed over to 1 for a minute then checked out a short bus. It was good and This Guy I know joined the fun for a few good laps before consecutive days took its toll and we checked out.
  15. I agree but the No chance duck stance people are in an uproar

    Yo Lci!!

The time of the season where everyone is out. We have all seen many recent collisions with carvers. And the misconceptions people have about all of us making radius turns and how to avoid the downhill “skier” and we are using the whole mountain. Glad you were not clipped. Racers need to hear it the most. There is no hope for the general public. I feel like everyone has become a NPC game character and are absolutely clueless. Sunday funday!
  17. With ride insano/they have been great but exacerbated the problem with the liner and boot tongue seams making hot spots around the soft fleshy bits of my ankle. Popped them back into my old flow talons with remind insoles and so much better. Blue/large. They are great. Rather with than without. Will have to try molding again with them in on my old boots. Done with the insano pain from the rides.
  18. Late start today. Probably get up to milk mid - late morning
  19. we know when we don't see you that you are exercising years of knowledge and terrain that has been earned. Thank you for sharing your home break with us a few days a year. we do appreciate it! Hopefully see you for at least a few turns later this week.
