  1. I live in Missoula. That's all I'm need to say...haha
  2. I bought half my Montana Snowbowl season pass in April. Its going to be a snowy and cold winter!
  3. Montana Snowbowl open until at least April 5th maybe they will push it until April 12th. Normal restrictions apply www.montanasnowbowl.com Check their snow report for the latest updates Lookout Pass, Discovery and Lost Trail are still open I believe as well.
  4. Thanks, guys! Great feedback. I was concentrating on how I have been riding the past few days and I don't regularly carve low much anymore. I ride 30 degrees on the front and 15 on the back. That's on my highbacks and a 24 cm all mountain board. I used to ride generally 63 degrees and 54 on my carving boards but nowadays I'm lowered those angles for more comfortable riding.
  5. I'll admit I don't fear a little over hang if it's going to effect my stability. What about your angles? Have you ever put your boots in your bindings and tipped the board to see how much it would take to drag? And even if it did would you even feel it or kick out your edge? Just curious is anyone paranoid this is going to happen? I get it if you are on a Skwal but I'd like to hear your thoughts.
  6. I find some great used boards from time to time. And although they are not brand new custom builds I still want to show them off to the group. Identity 160 BX carbon. I'm so stoked to ride it. One of my best ski swap finds. Custom build out of Whitefish, Montana. Thank you! I doubt anyone knew what it really was. One of the benefits of being a fanatic of boarding!
  7. https://www.donek.com/product/ryan-knapton-karving-block/ Looks like fun! Its out of my budget but I'd love to be up there during that time.
  8. My new Alpine Snowboarder cap! just showed up today. Thanks, Jack!
  9. I'll be up there to ride on Thursday and Friday of next week. Looking forward to seeing you all! Its been a while!
  10. Hi Brian, Ski Bowl is worth it. I used to ride there often before I moved to Missoula. Don't use your turn signal when pulling into the parking lot to avoid drawing attention to everyone else heading to Timberline or Meadows...haha I think its a gem. It has the best night skiing on Hood and the crowds are usually not bad. I miss it! Its more of a 45 minute drive from Gresham too. Let us know what you think of it. Id be interested to know. Ed
  11. Carving is making a comeback! I've seen and you have too the videos of soft booters carving on groomers and park features. It's not a trend but it's great to see. We all have heard it for years, "I can carve like that too!". Finally it's coming mainstream again? Circular motion of what is cool. Carving will never die!
